Overview
The SolidDrill series offers stable tool life while minimizing wear and chipping across a wide range of materials, including steel and stainless steel.
The series includes two product types—DSW and DSM—each tailored to different machining needs.
DSW covers medium-diameter drilling (Ø3–12 mm). It features a new coating material and specially designed cutting edge geometry to reduce cutting resistance and enable stable drilling. The series includes both external coolant (DE) and internal coolant (DI / CI) types, providing flexible options depending on machine capabilities and hole depth requirements.
DSM, on the other hand, is designed for ultra-small diameter and deep-hole drilling starting from Ø0.1 mm. It offers sizing in 0.01 mm increments and includes center drill models that prevent misalignment at hole entry. This makes it ideal for high-precision applications in fields such as electronics, medical devices, and fine component manufacturing.
